Nion Roland U-220 Complete Sample Collection 是一套完整复刻经典 Roland U-220 / U-20 RS-PCM 音源模块 的采样音色库，并转换为 Kontakt 可用的虚拟乐器格式。原始硬件发布于 1988–1989 年，属于 Roland 早期数字 PCM 合成器系列，内置 64 个工厂音色（patches）、128 个 timbre 和 128 个基础音色（tones）。当时 Roland 还推出了 15 张扩展卡，额外提供 386 个音色，大幅扩展了合成器的声音范围，从经典合成器、钢琴、电钢到弦乐、管乐和电子音色等都包含其中。

该音色库对 U-220 本体以及全部扩展卡进行了细致采样，并将原始 patch、timbre 和 tone 转换为 Native Instruments Kontakt 乐器。单音色（single tone）采用 每个键一条采样，而双层或混合音色（dual / mix tones）则使用 每键两层采样以还原原始硬件的音色结构。此外，在官方工厂音色基础上还加入了 额外的变体音色（bonus patches），让用户可以获得更丰富的声音选择。整个音色库体积约 7.63 GB，同时提供 Kontakt 乐器和原始 WAV 采样，适用于现代 DAW 制作环境，同时保留了 80 年代 Roland PCM 合成器的经典音色风格。

The U-220 RS-PCM sound module and its keyboard version, the U-20, were released in 1988/ 1989. They use RS-PCM to generate sounds. The U-220 has 64 factory patches, 128 timbres and 128 tones. Fifteen expansion cards were released at the time, containing 386 extra tones.

I’ve sampled the U-220 and its expansion cards meticulously and converted its factory patches, timbres and tones to Native Instruments Kontakt instruments (Kontakt 5.5.2). Single tones have one sample per key, dual/mix tones have two samples per key. Apart from the factory sounds, I’ve included many variations as bonus patches in each collection.
