That’s not all, this collection crafted by Doug Organ also offers an experimental approach to other psych country essentials like the harpsichord, organ, piano, acoustic guitar, and drums. There’s no sitar or tabla in this pack, rather, Doug manipulated the organ and harpsichord to have a similar effect. If you’re new to the world of unusual song structures, the song-starters in this pack are a great starting point to get inspired. Entering the collective consciousness in the 1960s, there’s a reason psychedelic country is sometimes referred to as cosmic country or space country, it’s from another universe. Doug Organ studied under legendary engineers like Steve Albini and Joe Chiccarelli and ran a successful commercial recording studio for 10 years. His engineering clients include Tegan and Sara, Kendrick Lamar, and Joe Chiccarelli. An accomplished composer for the screen, he’s composed for Kate Spade NY, Dos Hombres Mezcal, and the Unhinged podcast with Chris Klemens.
